Starting October 1, 2018, UniStar in San Marino will launch a new Chinese communication program for non-native Chinese speakers. We focus on verbal communication and voice expression. It is designed for small private groups (TK-8), we incorporate set of textbooks specially designed for children of non-native Chinese families and those living in non-Chinese speaking communities.
The curriculum includes recognition of frequently used sight words, introducing children to basic Chinese sentences in a daily living environment covering school, family, sports, and objects around us. We will also introduce a stroke-by-stroke approach to writing simplified Chinese characters, memorizing pictograms, understanding useful idioms, Pinyin for 2nd graders and up.
Our training method is non-traditional, we boost children’s interest in learning by interactive games, role-playing, singing, commercial voice-over training, etc. Everyone will have the opportunity to showcase on Chinese radio broadcast/TV programs or in stage performance and hear their own voices!
Participants for UniStar’s fun-filled programs always develop a more positive attitude toward the Chinese language. Also, They are more confident to speak in front of people. Our selected students’ achievements in 2018 ETTV children anchor competition and voice acting for Nickelodeon’s bilingual animation series are our good examples.
